Things can suck...

Do you know a student who is struggling?  Being a student today is tough.  Let’s face it.  Sometimes life just plain sucks.  There is so much pressure to be the best you can be, but sometimes things seem to keep getting in the way.  Things may happen that are out of the student’s control (ex. divorce, abuse, loss, bullying).  Or perhaps they are struggling with depression, fear, or anger.  Whatever the hurt, they are turning to behaviors and habits that are hurting them more than helping (ex. alcohol & drugs, food issues, pornography, self-harm, etc.).

Who can come to The Landing?
Students in middle and high school dealing with difficult life issues such as (but not limited to); Anger, Fear, Depression, Self-Harm, Bullying, Abuse, Alcohol & Drugs, Food Issues, Pornography, Divorce, Grief & Loss, Self-worth Issues, or any other issues that are interfering with daily life.

What is The Landing?

The Landing is a safe place for student to talk about the hurts, habits and hang-ups that they are facing each day.  This is the place for students to come when they feel as though no one else could possibly understand what they are feeling or going through.  The Landing is here to give students a safe place to be heard.  We want to help students learn new coping skills and find healing.  The Landing is a Christ-centered recovery group for students in middle and high school.

When & Where is The Landing?

The Landing meets from 7-9pm on Tuesday nights at New Hope Church.  We have large group time (music, lesson, activities), small group discussions, and time for snacks and hanging out.  Doors open at 6:45pm and all students are to be picked up by 9:30pm.
